GENERAL INFORMATION
Summer School location is Cheile Gradistei complex, a mountain resort situated in Moeciu, 7 km from Bran Castle (Dracula’s Castle), 30 km from Brasov city and around 170 km (3 hours driving) from Otopeni International Airport ( Bucharest ). For further details please see www.cheilegradistei.ro.
COSTS are detailed in the booking form – attached and include registration fee, accommodation (one place in double room), all meals, transport from airport to venue and back, social programme.
BURSARIES of 250 euro are available! You might have to pay only 100 euro (for SRNP members) or 150 euro (for non-members) for both courses.
For participating in only one course with bursary you have to pay 75 euro (SRNP members) or 100 euro (non-members).

CASES FROM THE TRAINEES: We encourage participants to send a short summary (half page) of the most interesting cases of ataxias, cerebellar disorders and special tuberous sclerosis cases. Deadline – 15th of May 2012.

„Implantarea electrozilor în structuri profunde ale creierului este o metodă în primul rând de diagnostic a focarului epileptic. Ea este dedicată pacientului cu epilepsie focală, […] a fost realizată în premieră în România săptămâna trecută (n. r. – 29 februarie 2012) […]. Electrozii se implantează chirurgical, prin incizii foarte mici, de 2 mm, după care pacientul stă cu ei şi este monitorizat una-două săptămâni […]. Găurile sunt foarte mici şi nu curge lichid cefalorahidian, nu curge sânge, nu există riscul de infecţie, fiindcă nu există comunicare cu exteriorul […] Un electrod, ca o andrea sau ca un ac foarte subţire şi lung, costă între 500 şi 1.000 de euro. Când pacientul pleacă în străinătate, costurile sunt foarte mari, între 60.000 şi 100.000 de euro. În România s-ar putea face fără probleme cu cel mult 10.000 de euro […]”
